Coulsdon & Chipstead

Coulsdon is an interesting town in the County of Surrey and dates back to the Ancient Anglo Saxons. From a small settlement of cottages and farms which nestled around a village green and duck pond it grew in to the bustling town you see today.  It is a leafy town nudging the boundary of Croydon, yet abutting open countryside with Fathing Downs stretching for miles. There is a good choice of shops and restaurants together with reputable schools from both primary and secondary levels and a variety of sporting and leisure pursuits. The commuter is also well served with frequent rail services to London from numerous stations.

The village of Chipstead is just south of Coulsdon and is a picturesque semi rural location with a small shopping parade, railway station and pub. Despite its country scenery Chipstead is well positioned for access to Gatwick Airport and the national motorway network with the M25/M23 intersection a short drive away. Please use the links below for further information on Transport and Education in Coulsdon and Chipstead.
